In Her Own Words
"I am inspired by the nostalgia of childhood. I'm not a hoarder of things but I am a hoarder of memories. The paintings are snapshots or postcards from my past. They represent fond memories of twenty summers spent with my family in the tiny village of Vallejera, Spain and my friends' farm in Bushmills, Northern Ireland. Using photographs allows me to tune into the emotion I have for the landscape. When I am painting dolls, toys, or the objects that I surround myself with, they each have a history with me and this is what I am capturing in the paint."
